Today’s Brixton Street ♥ You feature comes to you courtesy of SABRE!
After their successful purchase of Dunder Mifflin, printer sales… wait, wrong Sabre!
The SABRE that we’ve partnered with this month actually specializes in self defense sprays, they also donate a portion of each sale from their pink line of pepper sprays to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We are all for giving back, so we really applaud SABRE for their awesome gesture! Another awesome gesture: SABRE has generously offered six of their HC-NBCF-01 model Pink Pepper Spray Keychains for giveaway here on BrixtonStreet.com! This is one of Sabre’s best selling models and has even been featured in ‘O’ – The Oprah Magazine.
SABRE provided Brixton Street with two pepper spray models from their pink line to take a look at : the HC-NBCF-01 Pepper Spray (Hard Case), $10 and KR-NBCF-02 Pepper Spray (Key Ring Unit), $7.99.

Both designs are compact, lightweight, and can easily be carried in a purse or a jacket pocket. The diameter is roughly the same size as a quarter, with the non-hard case model being slightly slimmer than the hard cased design. Both fit very nicely in the palm of the hand and built in grips make handling the cylinders both easy and comfortable. The hard case model is packaged with a detachable keychain (see stock image at the bottom of this post) which allows one to clip the pepper spray securely to jeans, a handbag, etc, but also allows quick access to the spray canister.

KR-NBCF-02

HC-NBCF-01
The opening mechanism is very “user-friendly”- easy to slide open and unlock, but also secure enough so that no accidental sprays occur while carrying the canister around.
Good ol’ oleoresin capsicum (a plant extract) gives this pepper spray a powerful blast of 2,000,000 Scoville Heat Units (ouch). With a 4-year shelf live and reasonable price tag of roughly $10, SABRE pepper sprays are a very modest investment. Also check out this lipstick pepper spray, what a great design!
A few notes about safety from SABRE, mostly common sense, but always worth repeating: “Do not solely rely on any self-defense product for protection. Avoid dangerous, isolated, and poorly-lit areas and travel with others when possible. Take reasonable precautions to avoid situations where self-defense will become necessary. “
SABRE also offers a Civilian Safety Awareness Program which offers lessons on how to avoid unsafe situations in addition to some basic self defense strategies. For more information about the program click here or call 1-877-326-1880. You can also find out more safety information from SABRE (including a how to use video) via http://www.sabrered.com/safetytips.
A huge thank you to SABRE for providing a giveaway prize for this month’s event. There are only a few days of the event left, but be sure to check in every weekday this month for our latest Brixton Street ♥ You feature. Please also check out any of the awesome features and giveaways you may have missed!

Every woman/girl needs a chap stick size pepper spray!! I think that the Stun Guns would be a good thing to have in your car too! SABRE Stun Guns & Stun Batons require direct contact with the attacker’s torso.

While I like to think we live in a safe place – when you live in an urban environment you always have to be on guard. The prize sounds perfect for me – as well as the SABRE Home & Away Protection Kit.
ALSO I noticed that SABRE also makes a FRONTIERSMAN Bear Spray and Attack Deterrent 9.2 oz with Belt Holster – Model #: FBAD-07 – which I would love to give to my sister who lives in “rural” Montana where bears are a much bigger concern than human predators!
I learned that you should aim for the eyes and spray ear to ear.
